There is a need to protect and monitor the trees on private and publicly-owned property within the City of Key West. The public can benefit through the protection of the health and growth of the trees and through encouragement of additional plantings. Therefore the Tree Commission oversees the preservation and conservation of the tree canopy of the City of Key West.
If you would like to make a public comment about a project, email comments to the Clerk of the Commission. Make sure to include the property address in the subject line. Public comments should be sent twenty-four hours before the Tree Commission meeting when the item is to be heard. Public comments can also be made in person at the meeting.
