Tina Burns serves as the Housing & Community Development Director for the City of Key West, and she has over 23 years of experience in providing and advocating for affordable housing.
Ms. Burns has worked collaboratively with federal, state, and local governments to implement strategies and programs and increase awareness of the need for affordable housing. She has also worked to create solutions to assist low- to moderate-income (LMI) residents and increase affordable housing in the community.
Tina Burns hails from Lexington, Kentucky, and through her career in Lexington, she has helped more than 900 first-time homebuyers purchase homes through down payment and closing costs assistance. As the director of a community housing development organization (CHDO), she developed over 60 residential and rental units for LMI families and individuals.
