First Saturday

The City of Key West offers free collection of Household Hazardous Waste (household chemicals and electronics) on the First Saturday of every month at Indigenous Park, 1801 White Street, from 8:00am to Noon.

This means disposing of chemical and electronic waste materials so they can be recycled or disposed of in a safe and environmentally sound way as required by law.  Disposing of these items in the trash or on the ground can result in contamination of local swimming and drinking waters.

First Saturdays are for City of Key West Residents only.  Businesses and out of City customers must contact Monroe County Solid Waste for information on collection at the Monroe County Transfer Stations.

Items we accept include:  Gasoline cans, oil (up to 5 gallons), pool chemicals, paint, stains, preservatives, pesticides, fertilizers, roofing compounds, acids, cleaning products, CFL bulbs, rechargeable batteries, computers, gaming systems, wires, phones, hard drives, remote controls, circuit boards, etc.
