The Administrative Bureau consists of internal departmental sections such as Records, Fleet Services, Office of the Quartermaster, Property and Evidence, Special Services, Information Technology and Communications. The two main divisions of the Administrative Bureau are Information Service Division and Support Services Division.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for budget preparation, maintaining records of expenditures through monthly finance budget reports, overseeing the requisition process, accounts payable process and the preparation of departmental files. She is also responsible for updating the information for FDLE on all employees, monitoring grants and contracts, coordinating all submissions of ordinances and resolutions for City Commission approval and§ preparing and constructing confidential documents for the Administrative Captain.
 Information Services Division
The Records section provides comprehensive records and reporting services for the purpose of supporting the law enforcement objectives of the Key West Police Department, other bona fide law enforcement agencies and the general public in accordance with required Florida State Statutes.
Communications section is responsible for all incoming calls to the Key West police department, including emergency 911 calls. Calls of all types are received including: domestics, mental illness, alarms, fights, thefts, burglaries, etc.
Information Technology provides instant access to crime data bases, GPS tracking in real time, increases efficiency and patrol time by eliminating redundancy and keeping officers available on the road. Information technology also enhances crime data collections well as improves reporting.
Support Services Division 









Special Services is responsible for departmental payroll, purchasing, maintaining personnel records, and providing performance evaluations.


Property and Evidence is responsible for receiving, processing, securing and the disposition of all property and evidence taken in by the Key West Police department. For more information about property and evidence click here
