About the Beach
County-owned Clarence S. Higgs Memorial Beach Park is located on the Atlantic Ocean adjacent to the Waldorf Astoria’s Casa Marina Resort, in Key West, Florida, the southernmost city in the continental United States, and comprises approximately 16.5 acres of oceanfront vista. Higgs Beach is located at the end of Reynolds Street that features a wide sandy beach, calm shallow water, and a long wooden pier, among other attractions. In addition to the newly renovated wooden pier at Higgs Beach, nearby White Street Pier extends out into the Atlantic Ocean for stunning sunset views. Also nearby is the Key West AIDS Memorial, as well as the African Cemetery.

Groups requesting to reserve a portion of any park or beach will be charged $2.00 per person, along with clean-up fees stated below.
Children 12 years of age and under will not be charged and are exempt from paying the fee.
Clean up and dump fees assessed based on the size of the group:
01 — 50 people $50.00
51 — 100 people $75.00
101 — 200 people $100.00
More than 200 people to be determined by Public Works Division Director.
