[ARCHIVED] Marlins Hold Key West Night

City Seal

They're doing it again!  The Miami Marlins support the Key West Police Athletic League (PAL)  proclaiming the second game of their August 13th doubleheader as Key West Night.

At that game, Police Chief Sean Brandenburg will throw out the first pitch.  At halftime, a group of Key West kids will join Marlins' mascot Billy on the field during the seventh inning stretch to sing "Take me Out to the Ballgame."

But wait, there's more!  Key Westers will get a special ticket price of $25, and $5 of that will be donated to PAL.

This is the second year in a row Key West has been so honored.

Vice-Mayor Sam Kaufman worked with Florida Keys Media's Rick Lopez to make this happen, noting that Key West has always been a baseball town.  The commission, during this week's regular meeting, proclaimed August 15 a Miami Marlins Day.

Tickets for the Miami Marlins vs Atlanta Braves are available for Key West and Monroe County residents at a special price of $35 or baseline seats and $55 for Homeplate box seats. The game is on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 7:10 PM. Anyone interested in attending the game can visit the link below for tickets. Sales close this Thursday at 11 PM. Thank you.

Tickets are available on the PAL website.
