The City of Key West and the City Commission this week honored Transit’s Willy Dorce for his 20 years of dedicated service to the City.
“For two decades, Dorce has set the standard for reliability, safety, and exceptional service,” said Transit Director Rogelio Hernandez. “His steady presence and strong work ethic have been invaluable to our team and to the residents we serve.”
Dorce has driven almost half a million miles on our 4-by-2–mile island, getting local and tourist riders to and from their destinations safely and in a timely manner.
“On a daily basis,” said Hernandez, “he drives on the same streets we all do, narrow one-way streets and two-way streets that may as well be one-way. However, he does it in a 30-foot bus weighing around 40,000 pounds. Employees like Dorce are what keep the city and Key West Transit moving forward.”
