[ARCHIVED] Downtown Fire Extinguished

At approximately 11:20 on February 27, 2023, morning, the Key West Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 7 Aronovitz Lane, just off the 600 block of Duval.

Firefighters arrived at a fully engulfed wooden structure apartment building.  After two hours of battling the structure fire, firefighters successfully extinguished it.  Nearby roadways were closed with the help of the Key West Police Department. 

The Red Cross is on the scene, with around ten people displaced by the fire.  There were no injuries.  There were Four apartments destroyed in the blaze.

The Florida State Fire Marshal is en route to investigate the cause of the fire.
