In an abundance of caution,Key West Transit will suspendresume bus services starting Tuesday, September 30, 2022. This includes the Lower Keys Shuttle, City Routes, and the Duval Loop. until further notice. According to the National Weather Service, high winds and potential flooding may impact the Keys within the bus service areas. Unless there are unforeseen changes in the weather, the City intends to resume full bus service on Thursday morning, September 29. The City of Key West Department of Transportation provides public transit services throughout Key West, Stock Island, the Lower Keys, and Marathon, Florida. We have five routes. The earliest route begins operation at 5:40 AM, and the last route is 10:00 PM. Our fleet consists of 20 handicap-accessible buses that accommodate 24 or 32 passengers.
Our drivers' primary concern is the safety of the passengers and others who share our island roadways. They are committed to delivering a timely product and customer service.

Days of Operation
The City of Key West Department of Transportation operates seven days per week except on the following days:
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day
