The City’s Building Department has flood maps that indicate whether a building is located within a Special Flood Hazard Area. There is also information on flooding problems in specific, localized areas. Visit the Building Department at the following location:
1300 White Street, Key West, FL 33040
Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) no longer prints paper flood maps, so the maps you can view online are what you would see if you visited City Hall. If you are considering buying or renting property and are not sure if it floods, information on past flooding is available.
Several maps are available via the sidebar to the left that offer a wealth of flood map information.
FEMA also has a consumer friendly site specifically for locating flood risks and insurance information at the Floodsmart.gov website.
If you experience any difficulty or have questions, email the City’s FEMA Coordinator, or call at 305-809-3810.
